It's not a secret that Education is changing worldwide. The Technological revolution has finally reached and left a trace in the class rooms; day after day there are more and more institutions taking the challenge of renewing their teaching systems and methodology. Us, in UNIPAP, have also given a big step in this area. The creation of the multimedia lab will open a whole branch of possibilities that will hopefully lead to the betterment of the Learning of English as a Foreing Language.
I sincerely hope that this new facility will help give our education, at least in this Alma Mater,a brand new feeling and the quality that the XXI century demmands.
For my courses in UNIPAP.
Hello. This week in the lab you could see a good part of the classic Stanley Kubrick's film "A Clockwork Orange" which I think portraits in an excellent way the Cult of Violence that seems to exist in the Western Civilization.
For mere general culture, this film was first shown in 1971 and it is without any doubts one of the master pieces of the seventh art. It tells the story of a gang in a futuristic Britain, in search of emotions that only Ultra Violence can provide. Alex DeLarge, the main character in the film, falls victim of his insatiable appetite for aggression and at the end you may wonder if he isn't just another puppet of the social system.
